Exciting news: Spirit of ’76 is gearing up for Spring 2025 with dropship containers of ’76-exclusive brands Sky Bacon Fireworks, Tako Pyrotechnics, and/or ’76 Show Series. Submit a pre-order by May 15th to lock in a $500 discount! Read on for more details.
Submitting a pre-order does not commit you to buy, but by submitting one by this Wednesday (May 15th), you’ll get $500 taken off your container price as a “thank you” if you do decide to purchase.
How to Pre-Order
To get started with your pre-order, please:
Make a copy of our pre-order form. (Go to File > Make a copy.)
Complete the form, making sure your order reaches 68 cubic meters or more in the “Order CBM” column.
Remember, there is a 20 case minimum order per product, but don’t stress – since this is NOT a purchase commitment, your pre-order isn’t set in stone. If you decide to move foward with the container order, we can tweak items and quantities as needed to meet your needs!
We’ll have pricing details ready in July 2024, so you can finalize your orders then. But, if you get your tentative order in for Sky Bacon & Tako by May 15th, you’ll snag that $500 discount. Plus, you’ll still be eligible for any other discounts that might pop up in July!
Ready to get started? Just fill out the form above, making sure to include your contact info. Remember, there is a 20 case minimum order per product, so you can order 500 cases of one product or mix it up, whatever works best for you! Once your order reaches 68 cubic meters or more in the “Order CBM” column, you’re good to go. Feel free to go above that if you need to. And don’t stress – this isn’t set in stone. If you decide to move foward with the container order, we can tweak items and quantities as needed.
Got questions? Give us a call at 573-447-1776 or reach out to your sales representative during business hours, 9am to 5pm CST Monday through Friday.
The performance is as good as ever with a ton of your favorite 12 shot, 36 shot, and fan shaped 500 gram cakes along with a bunch of 200 gram cakes and barrage candles!
Our ‘76 Pro Line is continuing to expand with more incredible effects than ever before in our new, black carbon fiber wrap. ‘76 Pro Line products are UN0431 Articles Pyrotechnic and are for professional use only. Those are NOT for sale to the general public and feature e-match ports and t-locks for ease of use with igniters.
Stay tuned for more product arrivals as we get them!
I’ve recently had some work done on my home in preparation for my wife and I’s first born child. If you’ve ever hired contractors to do any significant work on your home or business, you’ll understand the empty feeling of hopeless anticipation as the contractor declares that work will be done in two weeks. Just two short weeks. It’s two weeks on day one of the project and two weeks on week six of the project. Just two more weeks, in endless perpetuity.
That sums up perfectly what the Chinese production cycle has been like in China this year. As we reported earlier in the year, a huge number of Chinese fireworks factories have recently shifted their production to focus on the Chinese domestic fireworks market. After 3 years of harsh Zero Covid policies, Chinese citizens were ready to celebrate going outside by blowing stuff up, and they were willing to spend a ton of cash for the privilege.
Chinese New Year in 2023 and 2024 saw unprecedented fireworks sales in China. To meet that demand, fireworks factories pivoted away, and in some cases, completely abandoned USA production, forcing a squeeze on our production cycle. The autumn and winter months that would typically be full of production for the USA market were instead preoccupied with making fireworks for China. We waited in anticipation as the Chinese New Year came and went to learn about what fireworks were going to be shipping as soon as factories re-opened.
But much like a bricklayer can’t work in below freezing temperatures because his mortar won’t dry correctly, fireworks factories couldn’t work because the weeks following Chinese New Year were too cold. We were told to wait two weeks. Just two short weeks.
The weeks came and went and we anxiously awaited the news that fireworks factories were back in full swing. But much like a project gets stalled as the general contractor waits for permits to be approved, the factories remained closed while the Chinese Congress held meetings in March. We were told to wait two weeks. Just two short weeks.
Again we waited. But just like a painter that can’t finish the job because rain is creating too much humidity and his paint won’t dry right between coats, we were told factories were struggling to open because heavy rains were creating problems. We were told to wait two weeks. Just two short weeks.
But just like an electrician that gets pulled away from the job due to a family emergency, we were told factories were closed because the president was making a surprise visit to the province. Wait two weeks. Just two short weeks.
After seven weeks of two weeks, we’ve now learned that since January, fireworks factories have only been working on USA production for, you guessed it, two weeks.
Luckily, this isn’t our first remodel and we work with the best in the business, so we were able to squeeze in deliveries when others were stalled. We’ve got plenty of your favorite fireworks in stock now with lots of goodies coming soon. Due to the unusual production schedule, we are anticipating many ’76 Pro Line products to be arriving in late May/early June, but they WILL be arriving.
Please check our most recent arrival schedule here and as always, if you see something you like, do not wait to order it! Chances are, it won’t be around anymore in two weeks.
National Fireworks Association (NFA) Addresses Meta’s Content Policies for Fireworks Businesses
March 2024 by Sam Christensen
If you’ve ever experienced issues publishing pyrotechnic-related content or promoting your legitimate fireworks business on Facebook, you’re certainly not alone.
Trouble with Meta’s posting restrictions has been a common theme for businesses and individuals in the fireworks industry for years. And with every new algorithmic update on the social platform – especially now with AI involved in the moderation process – the restrictions become tighter and the penalties on accounts often more severe.
NFA’s 2024 Update on Meta’s Content Policies for Fireworks
In February 2024, board members of the National Fireworks Association (NFA) met with Meta officials in Washington, DC to discuss the restrictions that the fireworks industry faces on its social media platforms, namely Facebook.
The NFA published a press release with clarifications and advice they received from the officials at Meta. Read it now on NFA’s website: nationalfireworks.com/announcements.
Sam from Spirit of ‘76 had an opportunity to speak with Stacy Schneitter Blake, NFA president and co-owner of Schneitter Fireworks, about the conversation she and other NFA board members had with Meta.
Stacy’s advice for when your fireworks business’ content is flagged, in a nutshell: Appeal, appeal, appeal.
Advice we’ll add in for good measure: Encouraging the safe use of fireworks is key. The best content you can post or share isn’t sales-y; rather, it’s helpful or educational to your audience. And, when fireworks are used, be sure to follow and promote good safety practices.
Why are Meta’s content restrictions an issue for fireworks businesses?
It’s common knowledge in this industry that no business can pay to advertise fireworks or related services virtually anywhere online – Google, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, you name it. This is because fireworks are typically categorized as “restricted goods” in these platforms’ ad policies, often being lumped in with firearms and non-commercial explosives. Some policies even list fireworks as “weapons”.
So, there is no paying to advertise the sale or use of fireworks online – ok, fair enough. Fireworks businesses have learned to go without online paid advertising.
But what about organic content? Sharing engaging or helpful content online ought to be a core marketing strategy for any business today, right?
That’s where Meta’s policies on fireworks-related content stifle the marketing and outreach efforts of legitimate businesses in the industry, from mom-and-pop retailers to professional display companies to wholesalers like ourselves. Even content that promotes fireworks safety isn’t necessarily safe” from being flagged. Many fireworks business owners and their employees have experienced temporary and even permanent bans that affect not only their business profiles, but often their personal accounts too. We at Spirit of ‘76 are no exception!
As Stacy mentioned in the video above, say a fireworks business is put in “Facebook jail” in the days leading up to July 4th. Not only would communication with their customers and community be restricted, they’d be unable to share helpful safety information on the platform in the days where education on the proper handling of fireworks is most crucial.
This is why it’s a big deal that the National Fireworks Association was able to discuss the matter with Meta to get clarification on the policies as well as address major oversights regarding which types of fireworks-related content is getting flagged.
What to do if your Facebook Page’s fireworks content is flagged.
The NFA’s recent press release mentions that Meta officials “recommend [users] look closely at the updated Meta Policies concerning the sale of explosives on their platforms, especially for brick-and-mortar stores.”
As of March 2024, Meta’s policy in question reads that content should not be posted if it “attempts to buy, sell, or trade, firearms, firearm parts, ammunition, explosives, or lethal enhancements except when posted by a Page, Group or Instagram profile representing legitimate brick-and-mortar entities, including retail businesses, websites, brands or government agencies (e.g. police department, fire department) or a private individual sharing content on behalf of legitimate brick-and-mortar entities.”
If your content gets flagged, the NFA says they “strongly recommend you request to appeal any post that has been restricted if it meets Meta’s community standards.”
The NFA also promises to “continue to monitor policies and procedures concerning our industry.”
While there’s still a long road ahead for improving the experiences of fireworks business owners on Facebook, it’s good to know the NFA is in our corner and has taken a major step towards educating Meta officials about these struggles.

The Spirit of ‘76 team recently returned from the American Pyrotechnics Association (APA) Winter Conference in Las Vegas where the topic of interest was the word “Professional.” Since the release of the 2018 APA 87-1 Standard revision in 2020 confusion over fireworks designations and “Pro Use” fireworks have been a primary concern among industry members.
The latest developments include the 2024 APA 87-1 revision removal of 1.4G UN0336 Fireworks Professional Use Only designations going forward. Consumer fireworks are officially designated by DOT’s PHMSA division as “1.4G UN0336 Consumer Fireworks.” Since 2020, a second designation, “1.4G UN0336 Fireworks Professional Use Only” has been issued for some products that would have been historically designated 1.4G UN0431 Articles Pyrotechnic.
The concern among the industry is that “1.4G UN0336 Fireworks Professional Use Only” will find their way into the hands of untrained individuals via retailers and consumer fireworks distributors that have historically sold “1.4G UN0336 Consumer Fireworks.” “1.4G UN0336 Fireworks Professional Use Only” do not have to conform to CPSC standards, meaning they are not designed and not tested for the consumer market.
In an attempt to lessen confusion over the double UN0336 designations, the APA along with DOT’s PHMSA, has opted to suspend the UN0336 Fireworks Professional Use Only designation going forward. Products that have been already issued EX number will continue to be valid for the time being, but no new products will be approved as “1.4G UN0336 Fireworks Professional Use Only.”
What does this mean for ‘76 Pro Line? Have no fear, our products will continue to be available under the “1.4G UN0431 Articles Pyrotechnic” designation. We will continue to build and make available a line of 1.4G products that can enhance your displays without interruption.
Additionally, NFPA is currently in the process of adding definitions for “Professional”, “Qualified Individual”, and “Professional Use Only” to the 2027 editions of NFPA 1123 and 1126.
What does that mean for Pro Shooters? The industry is trending towards defining standards and creating guidelines for the enforcement of “Professional Use Only” products that fire inspectors can adopt over time. These changes will likely take years to implement and will vary from state to state based on local enforcement.
We will continue to keep you updated as we learn of new developments. ‘76 Pro Line is dedicated to being part of an equitable solution to this concern.
