Low Wholesale Inventory Due to National Fireworks Shortage
June 9, 2021
“We don’t have a back room. We don’t hold anything back. All the product that we have available to sell is going to show on our website,” says Spirit of ‘76 sales manager Ben Muzzey.
If you haven’t already caught the news from us (or from your local fireworks store or your neighborhood pyro junkie), the American consumer fireworks industry is experiencing a nationwide shortage this 4th of July season.
situation since September of 2020 – but the reality of the shortage is now being seen with severely low inventory levels.
Where can I get fireworks?
The good news is that many of our fireworks retailers will have fireworks to sell, and we encourage you to check with the independent retailers in your area for your firework needs.
You can view the map of Spirit of ‘76 verified retailers below or at 76fireworks.com/locations . Similarly, you can find official Sky Bacon Fireworks dealers at skybaconfireworks.com/buy and official Realtree Fireworks dealers at realtreefireworks.com/buy .
When will more fireworks be available?
We will be receiving more fireworks this year after the 4th of July. Spirit of ‘76 receives fireworks containers year-round. The items we have in route that won’t make it in time for this 4th of July will be available for sale later this summer and fall.
“What we do have, we absolutely will sell,” says Ben Muzzey. “So, check out the website and see what we’ve got. If it fits your needs, fantastic. If not, thank you for spending some time on our site. Please do check back as more product comes available.”
We expect that the national fireworks shortage will continue in 2022. We encourage our customers to place their orders early to secure fireworks for the upcoming season.
